Great Annual Savings Group (GAS) and Sunderland AFC have been working together for three years.
The Group won a competitive tender to provide energy procurement and management consultancy to the club in 2017, before cementing the relationship as a corporate hospitality customer and supporter of the Foundation of Light.
Since then, GAS has handled SAFC’s energy obligations and compliance, as well as efficiency consultancy across the Stadium of Light, Beacon of Light and Academy of Light.
Throughout the season, we’ll be rewarding loyal Sunderland fans with the chance to win an array of goodies as part our regular fan competitions.

We believe that a rapidly-growing business such as GAS must take steps to ensure it is beneficial to the communities in which it operates.
Although we are a national company, the City of Sunderland is in our DNA. Founded in the region in 2012, we take great pride in the impact we’ve made on the local community.
We have formed strong relationships with local foodbanks, schools, sporting establishments and businesses and our partnership with Sunderland AFC is now helping us raise awareness of GAS’ growing impact.

Great Annual Savings Group (GAS) has recently surpassed £100,000 in contributions to charity following the launch of a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy two years ago.
The Group led a two-week appeal to support the vital local service, which is based at St Hild and St Helen Christian Fellowship , Dawdon, just a couple of miles from Great Annual Savings’ HQ on Spectrum Business Park. In total, more than £600 worth of food was donated to the Foodbank, which gave out more than 400 emergency three-day food parcels throughout 2015.

Having founded GAS in 2012, Brad has overseen the company’s huge growth in a short space of time. Starting from modest surroundings in South Shields, rapid progress has seen the business move to its current office in Seaham, which is being expanded across the business park to create an 80,000 square foot GAS campus, featuring one of the finest headquarters buildings outside of London and Manchester.
The majority of Brad’s career has been spent on the boards of FTSE companies, at board level in the private sector and in turnaround private equity. He was Group MD of Caudwell Group and worked on its sale in 2006 for £1.5 billion.
Brad says:

Brad is the proud Owner and Chief Executive of Spennymoor Town Football Club, who have achieved four promotions and eleven trophies since his takeover in 2009. His interests outside of business and sport include a passion for animal welfare and he has been an avid dog owner for decades.
Judith was part of the team who initially set up Great Annual Savings in 2012, she brings with her an abundance of senior management experience, managing the HR/Resourcing functions in numerous fast growing FTSE250 companies including De La Rue International PLC, Blacks Leisure Group PLC and most recently G4S PLC. Judith has played a pivotal role in helping move the business forward with our ambitious growth plans and her impact has seen our head count grow significantly year on year with significant plans in place to manage and lead the continued growth going forward.
