Neil’s got the feels

Sometimes in the world of work, things fall perfectly into place.  That’s how Great Annual Savings Group (GAS) Lead Gen Neil Reid views the last seven months.

“I was a bit confused as to my next step,” said Neil, “when I was made redundant from a former competitor which no longer exists.  I had a couple of decent offers from around the industry and met a few people as I had a track record of performing.

“I was on the verge of joining another business and I decided to meet GAS and see what they had to day.  It sounds cheesy, but as soon as I walked through the door I knew it wat the place for me.  It felt right.

“The atmosphere is electric and everyone is so busy working towards common goals.  I’ve worked in call-centre environments for 17 years, which includes my previous workplace.  But GAS felt different – it’s not a call centre.

“In my job it’s like running your own little business here.  You’ve obviously got targets in a sales role, but you’re trusted as an adult to achieve them without being hounded about break times, call times and the usual.

“For me, that works.  I’ve been here seven months now and I arrived with an open mind, which has paid dividends already.

“The incentives and staff perks like VIP entry to Hardwick Live and hospitality at Sunderland matches have been brilliant for me and my family to enjoy.  Family is the word at GAS – it feels like one big one and the company brings our relatives in on the fun whenever it can.

“I work on Rob’s team and again we’re very close-knit; we all want to see each other do well.  We perform because we’ve got the right traits: enthusiasm, focus, work ethic and personability.

“When you have so many people with these qualities in one place, it becomes quite special.”
