The Group’s popular ‘Feel Fab Friday’ initiative returned last week to raise money for the British Heart Foundation (BHF) through their national ‘Wear It. Beat it.’ campaign.
Our Great Annual Savings Group (GAS) staff got into the caring spirit one week ahead of Valentine’s Day by each paying £2 to wear casual clothes to work, including at least one red item.
There were also homemade slices of cake on offer at break time, whilst we invited three companies into our rest room area to promote special offers for GAS staff.

Virgin Active were joined by Stella and Dot and George Washington Hotel’s Montana Spa, who sold a range of Valentine’s Day gifts to employees from throughout the Spectrum 6 building as our neighbours from BE Group and County Durham Housing Group joined us for a cake and a coffee.
After a day of fun and fundraising, the Group managed to raise £113.85 for The British Heart Foundation and received special thanks from the charity’s North East representative, Dan McNally.
Feel Fab Friday has become a highlight of working at GAS and we welcome staff suggestions for monthly themes. We plan to raise more cash for charity in the future, which you can follow on our social media with the hashtag #feelfabfriday.
