COMPANY BACKGROUND
Founded in June 2008, Heel & Toe Children’s Charity specialise in providing free conductive education and subsidised therapies including physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech and language to children with cerebral palsy and other physical disabilities in the North East.
Their highly experienced therapy service can provide assessments, block treatments or regular 121 sessions for those in need.
OVERVIEW
With the gas and electricity contracts up for a renewal at their HQ site in Co Durham, and the prospect of out of contract energy rates at their soon-to open 2nd site, a Hydrotherapy Centre, Heel & Toe approached Great Annual Savings (GAS), to negotiate the contracts on their behalf and identify any areas where they could reduce expenditure.
Heel & Toe’s new Hydrotherapy Centre, with a heated pool specially designed to treat symptoms of physical disabilities, meant that keeping water expenditure to a minimum was also a key requirement.
SOLUTION
Due to their long-standing relationships with many of the UK’s leading energy suppliers, GAS was able to utilise their unique buying power and renew Heel
& Toe’s energy contracts for the two sites with their current supplier on far reduced rates.
Ahead of the opening of their new centre, and as a gesture of goodwill, GAS not only negotiated energy contracts at market-leading rates, but they also
managed the installation of the new electricity and gas meters at the sites.
GAS was also able to take advantage of a newly deregulated water market and procure the most cost-effective rates available.
The longevity of new deal protected Heel & Toe from any future price fluctuations in what is both an unpredictable and unstable market.
BENEFITS
- Long-term savings in their energy and water contracts.
- Establish long-term control over their future running costs.
- Protected from future price fluctuations.
