Award-winning apprenticeship provider, Great Annual Savings Group (GAS) has opened its doors to four apprentices ready to take on the world of work.
This month marked the group’s fifth intake after scouring the North East to find the brightest and best candidates. After complying with strict selection criteria, four applicants were chosen to join the business after demonstrating a can-do attitude and an eagerness to get on and succeed.
Holly Vasey, Owen Stevens, Bobbi Hodgson and Lee Crabtree will all be taking on apprenticeships in Customer Experience, Energy Management, Finance and IT respectively.
GAS is an award-winning apprenticeship provider, included within the UK’s Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers in 2016.
Judith Bennison, Group HR Director at GAS said: “After winning at the National Apprenticeship Awards, we’ve continued with our commitment to generating apprenticeships and jobs in the North East.
“This commitment will continue, and we look forward to providing a first-class opportunity for more young people to develop a career in the future.”
Unlike some other schemes, GAS doesn’t believe in isolating apprentices in a classroom environment. Instead, they are encouraged to get fully immersed in their teams so they get first-hand experience which will prove invaluable in their careers.
This promotion of inclusion means that the group has an excellent retention rate and the majority of the group’s previous apprentices are now employed in full time roles with the business after excelling with the scheme.
