Company Background
Located in 224 acres of Surrey’s countryside, The Wisley is a golf club offering state of the art facilities. The members-owned club prides itself on offering a great welcoming atmosphere.
The Wisley takes a forward-thinking approach to golf and is owned by 700 men and women who each hold a stake in the club.
Overview
The CEO of The Wisley was keen to improve the environmental impact of the club, and was keen to explore what differences GAS could offer over the current suppliers to both make the club more efficient financially as well as environmentally.
The club is now offering a far superior service to its members with the addition of electric vehicle charging facilities.
Solution
As The Wisley had expressed an interest in improving sustainability, GAS arranged for the golf club to be switched to 100% renewable energy contracts, dramatically decreasing the environmental impact of the club.
The new sustainable contracts were for a duration of five years, protecting the club from future price increases. The new deal also provided a 10% cost saving based on their renewal quote.
GAS also arranged for the installation of two double electric vehicle chargers capable of charging up to four vehicles at a time and helped cover the cost of installation.
Benefits
• A decreased carbon footprint
• EV charging to attract new members
• A 10% saving on energy costs
• Protection from future price increases
Testimonial
“Through working with Great Annual Savings, we have been able to drastically improve our impact on the environment. We have been keen to improve our green credentials for some time but were tied into a contract, so the visit from GAS came at the perfect time as we were due to renew.
“We were also aware that we were potentially missing out on people with electric vehicles coming to the club as we did not have the required charging facilities. Not only did GAS arrange for charging points to be installed, but they also helped to cover the cost.
“GAS has been extremely professional and efficient throughout the whole process with their energy experts coming out to visit us to gain a thorough understanding of the club. We look forward to working with them to identify more ways of further decreasing our carbon footprint.”
