Following last week’s ‘Jeans For Genes’ day, GAS staff have raised a sum of £110 for Genetic Disorders UK.
Our latest internal ‘Feel Fab Friday’ was dedicated to raising money for the charity. The Group arranged activities, including staff wearing denim at work and a day-long cupcake sale.
Last week was also National Cupcake Week, so the two fitted together nicely and resulted in a good total to donate to the charity.
30,000 babies and children in the UK are diagnosed with a genetic disorder every year and Genetic Disorders UK funds smaller, specific disorder charities. The money we raised will go towards helping families care for their relatives affected by these disorders and offer them support services.
GAS runs internal events at intervals as part of its staff engagement. The popular Feel Fab Fridays are opportunities for staff to get involved with fundraising and socialise. They’ve been cited as one of the reasons it’s great to work here and we’re proud that our staff support them so enthusiastically.
