GAS Staff Contribute to Comic Relief

Last week saw the return of the Group’s ‘Feel Fab Friday’ initiative to raise money for UK charity Comic Relief.

Our GAS staff came together to raise money on Red Nose Day, contributing £2 to wear red casual clothes. Staff managed to raise £153 through staff donations, including money raised from slices of delicious homemade cake. The Group Board have generously agreed to match this, to take our total to £306.

The fun-filled day was a great success with several companies invited to exhibit to staff and a team-based ‘Baby-Face Quiz’; where teams had to match the baby picture to the staff member.

We were joined by a range of companies from car dealer Vertu motors to the small, local bath bomb enterprise, Blissf
ul Bathing.

Seaham leisure centre and private health care company HSF payed a visit to provide staff with special offers alongside Redstar Clothing and Costco wholesalers.

Judith Bennison, Group HR Director, said: “It’s fantastic that GAS staff have come together to raise money for such a great cause.

“The day was a brilliant success thanks to consistent enthusiasm from our Group to help charities. We like to get everyone involved in fundraising whenever we can and our staff are always keen to help.

“Thank you to all GAS staff and our exhibitors for making the day fun and getting involved!”

We will continue to drive fundraising through more Feel Fab Fridays in coming months, with the help of our recently set-up Charity Committee.
